Here is a marinade that will turn low quality beef into delicious meat.
Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ beef) is very popular in Japan. We marinade the meat in a special sauce when we do Yakiniku.
It’s not necessary to buy expensive beef. Marinating low quality meat in this sauce makes it tender and tasty.
Once the meat has been soaked in the marinade, it should be stored in the refrigerator.
If you leave it for more than 6 hours, you will get a surprisingly tender BBQ meat.
Ingredients for a Delicious Beef BBQ Marinade Sauce (easy to make quantities)
- Soy sauce: 1-2 Tbsp
- Maple syrup: 1 Tbsp
- Oyster sauce: Tbsp
- Grated garlic: 2 cloves
- Mustard: 1 tbsp
- Balsamic vinegar: 1 tbsp
- Sesame oil: 1 tbsp
- Sambal or Doubangjiang: 1 tbsp
- Black pepper
How to use the Delicious Beef BBQ Marinade Sauce
- Combine all the ingredients for the marinade sauce, mix well and marinate the beef.
- Store it in the refrigerator and leave for at least 6 hours before BBQing.
